Outgrown by His Own Image

by BOB GALLO   May 21, 2025

They would not let God
into His own house—
said He no longer believed
in Himself.

Even He
could not fit His own image
in the broken record house of mirrors
in their faith.

He could not inseminate
the menopausal maiden
of their dogma—
sterile with certainty,

echoing Him
in iron-clad chants,
until even He
was no longer
enough
to fit in.
