They would not let God into His own house— said He no longer believed in Himself. Even He could not fit His own image in the broken record house of mirrors in their faith. He could not inseminate the menopausal maiden of their dogma— sterile with certainty, echoing Him in iron-clad chants, until even He was no longer enough to fit in.
