Delusion as Delight

by BOB GALLO   Jul 28, 2025

Oh yes—
it’s always a good pitch that does it,
verbal or visual.
Something to satisfy every angle,
the full range of your tangs.

Or better yet,
something that dances you
out of dancing.

Like salesmen who know
how to stretch you
across every crease of your need,
they make you buy
what you already have,
or don’t need,
again and again.

Each time,
a new trap.
A new detour.
A new delight
to keep you deluded.

And that does it,
brings you back
to existence.
For the glory of God!
For the sake of your country!

Maybe good employees
create more value
than what they actually do.

They dress the lie
in lace and thunder,
call it faith,
or pride, progression ,
or silk-wrapped aggression,
patriotism,
home.
Every banner, bright enough
to blind
the tasteless truth.
