Lo—
they crusade to crucify,
each for the sake of his own Christ,
not the Christ eternal,
but the visage in his glass.
They preach the law of love,
yet draw forth blood in zeal—
though He healed the hand
that smote Him.
Behold—
they make gods of themselves,
one desire upon another;
they drag the Infinite down,
clothe Majesty in rags,
and call it holiness.
Thus is Divinity apostatized:
the Eternal made tribal,
the Infinite made mean,
a house of membership
in place of a Kingdom—
Christendom instead of Christ.
And yea, all is permitted,
so long as thou art faithful—
not unto God,
but unto the physics of the Church,
never the breath of God
