Loneliness

by Rowena Linley   Aug 26, 2025

A heart so full it spills
It leaks
Through cracks in walls no one seeks
Empty rooms
Silent creaks
It echoes
It speaks

Loneliness
Oh it drowns me whole
Like a thief
It steals my soul
Breaking a heart that's too full to hold
Loneliness
The cruelest mold

Love left letters on the shelf
Unread whispers to myself
The clock ticks loud
Mocking stealth
Dreams fade like morning's wealth

And I shout but the walls don’t hear
The loudest screams are made of fear

Loneliness
Oh it drowns me whole
Like a thief
It steals my soul
Breaking a heart that's too full to hold
Loneliness
The cruelest mold

But what if love’s a storm I crave
A tidal wave
A chance to save
The fragments of the life I gave
To silence
To this hollow cave
