Consequences

by Kurt   Apr 13, 2026

I walk alone beneath a darkened sky,
Sky crackling thunder where the guilty lie,
Lie still in whispers fearing what they've grown,
Grown amongst seeds in distrust that were sown,
Sown in the dark families seeking amends,
Amends for their sins for what was taken ,
Taken innocence tossed to open flame,
Flame chasing shadows repeating the names,
Names etched in memories I can't escape,
Escape from the masks grief paints on my face,
Face wicked thorns on the vines they create,
Create a reckoning now sealed as fate,
Fate wields fervent justice wrought by my hands,
Hands direct punishment on wretched man.
