?You asked me to write of my imagination of heaven and hell,
?To paint the landscapes where the spirits dwell...
?But I have no need for myths or ancient lore,
?Cuz I've seen both worlds outside my door...
?Heaven ain't a city built of gold,
?Neither a distant story that the angels told..
?It is the quiet sanctuary of your grace,
?Bree the soft, familiar contour of your face...
?It’s the morning sun that filters through the trees,
?The gentle rustle of a cold breeze..
?The moment your hand slips into mine,
?And pulls me gently past the edge of time...
?To be with you,
?where all my worries falls away,
?Where darkness turns to brilliant, endless day..
?That is the paradise I came to know,
?The brightest flame, the warmest, purest glow...
?Then I also lived hell,
?But hell ain't that pit of burning fire and stone,
?It is the sudden weight of being alone...
?It is the quiet room where echoes cry,
?The bitter memory of an unwanted goodbye...
?It is the touch of what used to be,
?The heavy anchor dragging me down the sea...
?To see my dream break, to watch you go,
?With my heavy heart that screams what my lips can't show..
?That is the torment, the cold and shifting dark,
?A world left as ash without your burning spark..
?I know you are the axis where my world turns,
?The peace I crave, the fire where I burn..
?If heaven is the light within your eyes,
?Then losing you Bree is hell where the shadow lies..

This was a request from her, she had asked me to write about heaven and hell after I told her I was writing about her.
