Gravity

by The Forgotten Monster   Oct 16, 2026

Thank you gravity, but I'm so tired of having my feet on the ground
Maybe this noose can help me forget about the peace I never found

Maybe this tree is tall enough for me to soar above all my worries and doubt
When did this become the best option? What choice forced me on this route?

Gravity, you've done enough old friend. You've held me for far too long
Just continue to work for me please, well I sort out where I went wrong

Rope, don't break. Branch, hang on
Noose, don't slip. Tree, stay strong

wait, I disapointed someone again and now they're upset
I have to go apologize once more, guess I can't fly just yet

I will have to come back after I've made the wrongs right once more
Maybe this is different, maybe they won't forget me after, like before

Maybe, I'll try not to disappoint everyone as I keep my feet on the floor
Just maybe I'll let gravity hold me as I fight the darkness that I ignore

Rope, stay patient. Branch, stay pure
Noose, keep open. Tree, please endure

OMG!! Your words hit deeper than you know! Sometimes, we carry so much inside that simply holding on becomes a struggle of its own. Beautifully written, yet painfully real!!
