Winter in her eyes

by Foresaken_Tears   Jul 23, 2004

Grass shines with dew like rainbow tears
To my eye once a joy, now seems sincere
The old wooden bench is gnarled and cracked
And if i smile it no longer grins back

Paths paved with gold are tarnished and dying
No swift, gentle birds remain still flying
And dull, autumn leaves have filled the water
The geese lie dead, a heartless slaughter

In this wintery world where nothing is real
Not you're thoughts, you're dreams or the way you feel
His uncaring hand has grasped another soul
And the world merely stares as her blood runs cold.
