Saying Goodbye

by Reaching Out   Jul 26, 2004

You were known as my friend.
And you were the one who cares.
You were always giving me the stupid dares.
The dare turned bad and look what it did.
I guess you forgot I was just a kid.
We laughed, we danced but it went too far.
And now I'm lying outside of this car.
You were drunk and I wasn't so you made me drive.
But now the pain is hurting like a thousand knives.
You told me you loved me and I thought it was true.
Because you know I couldn't keep my eyes off of you.
Every time you were with me it didn't seem right.
Every time we said something we got in a fight.
We slipped on ice and swerved out of control.
We kept on going around till we finally hit that pole.
The paramedics are going to be too late.
How come we never had a peaceful date?
You ruined my life, you ruined my dreams.
You made my insides into creams.
I couldn't drive and you knew I shouldn't.
But you yelled at me to do something I wouldn't.
My parents, they loved me and I loved them too.
They will loose me but they'll hate YOU!
You lost my trust and you lost theirs too.
All I did was love and cherish you!
So goodbye to you the one who lost me.
It will never be the same so just let it be!
