Needless sorrow

by SCARECROW   Jul 27, 2004

It is needless. I rest my case.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Put my pen on my paper
but there is little left for me to say,
The pain I felt yesterday
just grows with every dawning day,
I'm lying here, I'm dying
though there's so much left that I can do,
Each second wastes away my strength
while I do naught but think of you,
I ink each line with anguished sorrow
trapped inside my soul, my skin,
There is no hurt here on my flesh
but my mind now suffers from your sin,
My words, they are so common
there are others who pretend to hurt,
Still, I feel that I do not belong
anywhere but below the dirt,
The blood that flows inside my veins
is soulless, now crimson regret,
You are alive and vengeful, happy
for I am paying my life in debt,
You walk around destroying lives
who have done you no more wrong than me,
You care so much about yourself
I'm dying, but do you think of me?
