Proud Of You

Through all the hustles and bustles,
The studies and the test,
I’ll always have time for you
Even on days when I fail to rest.

You are my strength,
That sees me through,
You are the reason,
That I must continue.

No matter what,
Through out it all,
We’ll make it together,
And none of us will fall.

When things get tough,
And I want to run,
I look at you,
And continue on.

When I’m locked up,
In my room,
Studying for hours,
It’s you that pulls me through.

I love the way you check on me,
Always making sure I have
Everything I need.

Filling my drinks,
Bringing me food,
And yet I have asked
None of this from you.

Your love is so pure,
Sensitive and true,
My dear son, I am so proud of you!

This poem is true, and it goes to my son, dearest Kevin, I love you!

    Wow, this poem was beautiful. I sure hope that your son read this poem. I am thirteen years old and It makes me feel so good when my mom tells me how much I mean to her and how much she loves me. Kids remember those types of things and it really makes a difference. This poem was wonderful. Thank you for your comment as well.
