Haunting Me

I let you go,
You knew I couldn't keep you,
I left you so I could be free,
So why do you still haunt me?

I close my eyes and you're all I see,
Your voice echos in my thoughts,
When I sleep you're in my dreams,
When will you stop haunting me?

I burry my face in my hands,
your image is burnt in my memory,
stained so deep in my mind.
Silence is not heard of.

My eyes, so sore and filled with tears,
close slowly and steadily.
I breathe deep within myself.
You don't have to haunt me anymore...
