Reflections

by Jamie   Aug 11, 2004

I look in the mirror,
And what do I see,
It's a distorted reflection,
Of how I see me,

Hate reflects back,
Hate's what I feel,
I disappointed myself,
I ate that one meal,

The feeling of regret is painful,
This feeling I've come to accept,
I hurt my body intentionally,
For myself I have no respect,

I pray every night for my body to change,
Or to experience the feeling of love,
They're completely different requests,
One from below and one from above,

I look in the mirror,
And what do I see,
A confused child of God,
With love as her only plea.

May I ask if you still have a struggle with your weight? Are you overweight? Are you still bulemic?
