In dreams we live

How can a short time last so long
Life with so many questions
a brief surge of days,
a torrent of nights
We try so hard to make our mark,
To say, look, I was here, I was alive
I lived, I breathed, and I died
But I dreamed of so much more

    This was an excellent poem. You put into a few short lines what I would be putting into about a page of writing. The point that comes across to me, is that we want to make a name for ourselves in life, we want to be something so people will notice us. I really liked this poem.
