Only Dreams

I lay in my bed
Just to get a little shut eye
I felt something touch my hair
I turned my head

There you are, your arms around me
I began to cry
I know my eyes were deceiving me
I knew this all was a lie.

I loved thinking you were there
Me in you arms
Nothing in our way
Nothing causing our love harm

Knowing this isn't real
I tried to push away
My heart wouldn't let me
In your arms is where i wished to stay

But then came the time
when my eyes opened
you still by my side
Is what i was hoping

I frantically look around
yours nowhere to be found
thats when it happened
my heart hit the ground

I wasn't ready to wake up
i longed for you more
It was only when i was dreaming
my heart was no longer sore.

Not to worry
soon you'll be with me
Hopefully in reality
Not in my dreams!
