Best of Friends

We use to be best of friends
But thats no longer true
We had a one of a kind friendship
But no longer do

Well i told myself that is was OK
In the end it would be fine
She would get over it
Turns out I was telling myself a lie

A few years passed
We no longer talked
The time went by fast
I didn't hear from her
And quite frankly I was shocked

She heard I was talking shit
And I heard she was to
I didn't know what to do
So I wrote her a note telling the truth

She said it was all bullshit
And thats when I gave up
I would no longer miss her
I couldn't go through it

Now we're in high school
And more shit has been said
I wish she would just drop it
Let this be the end!

    I have a friend (actually her name is sam as well) who is going through the same thing with one of her friends right now. It's been an ongoing thing for about two years now, and I've been the monkey in the middle, listening to both of their sides. Her and her other friend aren't friends anymore, and the fight hasn't stopped yet, but at least things have calmed down a bit. It was tense for a while. Good poem, keep writing! ~dandy~
