Im sorry I forgot

by Judy   Aug 17, 2004

Why don't I hurt inside when all I think to do is cry,
You were my friend and now we're not,
I'm sorry we both forgot.

In the past we use to sing,
Dance around and do silly things,
Two different schools,
We slipped apart,
I'm sorry we both forgot.

Now are friendships all a blur,
Seeing clearly is just obsurd,
I held my hand out,
You slipped and you drifted off,
Carrying on with brand new friends,
Now I know I'm not there in the end,
I'm sorry we both forgot,

It was wrong of me to tell you who to hang out with,
I just wanted you to have the very best,
Even though you told me your friends were all ruthless,
So I stood there by your side till the end of all your cries,
I'm sorry we both forgot,

When you see that I was true,
And that you told me off like some sort of fool,
I won't be there for you,
I could care less if you wound up alone,
You left me don't you know,
I'm sorry you forgot,

A friendship held so close,
11 years full of hope,
I'm sorry I forgot.
