Of Middle Earth

by Brad Champagne   Aug 20, 2004

Out of the darkness Sauron came
To destroy all things live and tame.
He lost his prized ring some long years ago,
And now the ring bearer is his greatest foe.
Sauron worried more but the West
For the warriors of Gondor had challenged his best.
The king of the land, Elfstone in Elf tongue,
Led all the troops and the war was soon won.
The hobbits then went to the Shire, their home,
But they found that the Shire was not left alone.
Bullies had come from the South and took root,
And they took all they wanted, and kept all the loot.
Well, Frodo and Sam, they had something to say,
And they gathered the hobbits and forced bulles away.
Then the elves loaded their ships and sailed back
To the undying lands where there's nothing they lack.
For in Valinor the Valar made home
To worship Illuvitar on his awesome throne.
Their job was to watch Middle Earth and to keep
Melkor, Sauron's maker imprisoned quite deep.
In the end of the world, elf, dwarf, and man
Shall meet their great maker, and kiss his kind hand.
Then who have perished for the holy and good
Will take seat by the master, they only should.
But those who were evil and did only wrong,
Will be punished eternally the entire throng.
This world was in peril and some saved the day,
I hope that some here would have acted that way.
Out of the darkness a hero arose,
And left all the enemies out for the crows.
The story is over, now you know the tale;
So let's get on a ship with the eleves and set sail.
