What Hate Is

by Kristal Sowiecki   Aug 22, 2004

Thank You Daddy
For all that we shared
Which wasn't really anything
You never even cared
Thank you for calling me
And letting me know your alive
Oh My bad
You never called
And you were never there when
You were supposed to arrive
And thank you for not drinking
On those weekends I was there
Oh Wait, you not drinking?
Thats really rare
In fact I can't think of anything
That I can thank you for
I didn't want your money
I just wanted you at the door
But that was too much for you wasn't it dad?
You pushed me away
Along with the good times we could've had
So now I don't need you
Though I never did from the start
I just want to say I hate you
From the bottom of my ******* heart

Hey. great poem! I can relate. Just don't let the absence of your father mess you up. My real dad was never there for me and still isn't, but Thank God I had a wonderful step father to love me as his own. He was a blessing to me & my brothers. No one would have ever guessed we weren't his children. He was murdered a few years ago. But I have a ton of happy memories. I will always love him with all my heart. In fact, I named my first son after him. Step parents CAN be a blessing!!!
Take care & God bless you!!!
Congrats on the baby boy on the way!!! Children are a wonderful gift. Love him always and give him the very best of yourself!! Good luck! :o)
