Death is Smiling

by Josh   Aug 22, 2004

This dagger in my heart is deep
Threw lonely nights I cannot sleep
So in my heart you will not keep
My misery you now must reap.

For sunlight still I do not pray
Please keep me from the pain of day
Now cracked in two my heart will stay.
And in the sight of death I play.

I’m hidden deep inside despair
For of my love you do not care
And in your eyes an icy stare
To let me know that love is rare

Lost in darkness dead with pain
You cut my wrist and let me drain
I do not fight what’s left to gain
A murdered heart drowned in rain.

Now my heart my soul must mend
While still you try to be my friend
You must be joking, I cant pretend…
Death is smiling I’ve reached the end
