If I Were God...

by Jacklyn   Aug 24, 2004

If I were God, I'd change the world,
There would be no more violence
I'd feed the hungry and the poor.
Ant there would be peace throughout the world.
The sun would always shine, the moon would hide.
Kids would laugh and almost never cry.
And no matter what color you were you walked with pride.
Parents wouldn't beat their kids until they died.

It happened in the year of 2002,
It was something her mother never knew.
Working late almost never home,
Her father was lonely and would lose control.
He'd hit, hurt and beat her, his daughter only 15,
Go to the bar and never come home.
She was smart and had lots of friends that never knew.
She was home alone and knew,
She had a choice to make
With a sharp blade in her hand.
She put an end to it all,
And would never fell pain again.

So that's why if I were God, I'd change the world,
Were parents wouldn't hit their kids, until their dead.
