Web

by Timothy   Aug 26, 2004

The Internet is a paradox,
It is Pandora's Box;
It was once a great treasure,
But the sunny days turned into darkened weather.

Three years ago I thought I found a heart that was like my own,
But 18 months later, it was disparity that I was shown;
I shunned computers thereafter, more or less,
The Net was a curse, and I needed to be blessed.

A year later, the brightness returned,
Although my heart was still afraid I might get burned;
There was no intervention by computer; It was a natural occurance,
Slowly, I again built up my assuredness.

But recently, I made one stupid mistake,
Now it is the coals of loss I must rake;
Watching memories of her flow and ebb,
Because I checked on my ex, over the Web.
