Daddy

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

You and she moved together,
Arranged for me to invade your peace,
I visited you weekly,
So I could invade your peace.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

I thought that she was nice,
Then she showed her true colours,
I thought that she was kind,
Then she showed me her true colours.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

She told you I was fake,
She made me cry but you stuck by me,
She yelled that she hated me,
I was scared but you stuck by me.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

Then it was back to normal,
The next day she seemed nice again,
Ok, things had changed- I was scared of her,
But I thought that she seemed nice again.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

Then after a while it happened again,
This time you were on her side.
I can?t remember just what happened,
But I know that you were on her side.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

For seven long years it was up and down,
One minute was good the next it was bad,
Seemed I was walking on a knife blade,
One minute was good the next it was bad.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

Too ashamed to tell anyone,
Scared I?d be told off for exaggerating,
Kept my pain a secret, hidden from myself,
Scared I?d be told off for exaggerating.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

Eventually I?d had enough,
Left to not come back,
But I was to weak, and I returned,
Although I had left to not come back.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

A year later, A baby born,
Hated everything about you apart from one thing,
Emily- my light in the black tunnel you built,
Hated everything about you apart from one thing.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

Then it all went to pot again,
This time I had left for real,
Weeds had grown in my walls of defence,
I could not cope, I left for real.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

You sent letters- the reasons I should return,
Cards of hatred and notes of resent,
Well you made me cry to many times,
With your Cards of hatred and notes of resent.

You left your wife,
For another woman,
You left your little girl,
For this other woman.

I miss the good times but not the bad,
I miss my daddy,
I miss the way I was your little girl,
But most of all I miss my daddy.
