Heart Shaped Blade

This heart shaped blade
tears me apart
this heart shaped blade
glides through my wrist
releasing hate and destruction
with just one kiss

The heart shaped blade
will forever bleed
your heart shaped blade
was the bad seed
planted within me
to grow and kill
and will forever be

now my heart bleeds dry
of my love which once filled it
now there's nothing left
because you killed it
my heart, now black, rots away
my lips go dry
because there is nothing left to say

This heart shaped blade
was the love you gave
which now tears me apart
but was originally meant to save
now my blood stops pumping
because your love was the essence of my life
