One of a kind

by Katherine A Lee   Sep 9, 2004

I see you play today and you are a star
Passion in your eyes as you dive for the final goal
In this motion I see how you have raised the bar
Look-a-likes and pretenders envy your beautiful soul
Not only on the field, on the court or in the ring
Out of “game mode” you are so genuine
Like the first pure flowers that blossom in spring
So many things you could do, I wonder if you can sing
People like you should not be alone
Somehow I think an injustice has been played
Through your eyes a new world to me has been shown
So the impression of “One of a kind” on me you have made
Then this broken heart of yours I should hope will heal
Cause by your grave I hope never to kneel
