Life is a play...I am

by Katherine A Lee   Sep 9, 2004

I am like a flower, wilting in the breeze
Petals flying, leaves breaking in the wind gusts with ease
I am like the rocks the sea pounds at with furry
The same was our world went and got into a big hurry
I am a vessel, aging with time
Same as the sun, everyday it dares to shine
Gifted with a complex and intricate brain
No two people are ever the same
I am funny, witty, and mysterious some people may say
As for me, they are all masks for our lives in one big play
Why we wear them is unknown to all but our hearts
Trading masks everyday just to fulfill our parts
I am...Who am...Who am I?
A question too bold for those who have not lived
So as an answer, just another person in this big world of people is all I can give
