Because of you

by Katherine A Lee   Sep 9, 2004

“I love you” seems like such a common phrase to be thrown around
Caring for someone so much, you would give your whole life
Just the thought of your voice in my ear, is a beautiful sound
Loving you gives me more control and ability to drop the knife
On the ground and out of my unsure, shaky hand
To hold it was not a wish to die
But to hurt, like the natives who lost their land
This wish to hurt has now passed me by
You have brought me out of the dark and into the light
It's because of you that I won an impossible fight
