Sympathy

by Katherine A Lee   Sep 9, 2004

Why must you torment me so?

Driving me crazy, like you want me but not enough to stay too long

Creeping deeper and deeper into my soul

My inner desires you find pleasure in like your favorite song

Please give me some sympathy, for you are driving me crazy

Returning this would be hard on account of my heart belonging to another

Keeping it a secret is too hard since I am too lazy

Maybe a once in a while thing would be ok just as long as we are not together

So please give me some sympathy for I am very uneasy

For the fact that you make me feel like you need me

Or even that you are scared you might be falling in love

The way I started to and tried to break free

I think you did and you are unsure how to say that you have fallen in love

What are you going to do, who can you tell

For you know as well as I that this love is forbidden for the time

As badly as I wish I could start over and make you mine

Maybe I should be giving you the Sympathy, seeing as you are the one falling in love with me.
