So Out of Reach

by hybrid_theory   Sep 15, 2004

I see you everyday, you're in my every hour
You're words makes me smile, you grin fills me with power

You've been a friend to me, even if you don't realize it now
But just by noticing I'm there, you've given me a gift somehow

I'm not so used to having eyes on me
And when you say hello, I know it's me you see

And not the person behind me
You make me laugh, you make my smile
I wish I could have you with me
always, not just every once and a while

You seem intimidated by me is it the way I look?
I don't mean to not smile It's just because I'm not used to this love, it's not written in my book

But I'm trying so hard to be your friend
Please, I hope this all works out in the end

We're complete opposites I know but lets not make this so strange
I don't want to have to do all the work, don't want to take center stage

Please be my friend, this I beseech
You're so impossible to get, so out of reach
