Just A Dream

Every whisper
Every broken promise
Shattered, smashed in the corner
It doesn't matter now
That was just a dream
Hoping to be happy with you
Now is broken, so it may seem

Every confession
Every flawed word
All the promised love
Now fades away
And there is nothing left to say
It was just a dream

Through all the love we've shared
All the times I've cared
I was sure it meant something to you
How stupid was I to have even dreamt
Now there's nothing left
My hearts been robbed
Don't tell me I dreamt our love
How I pray it was true
Yet it was just a dream

I swore I'd love you forever
And now you're gone I can only try
Oh how hard it gets, to live on through knowing the word never
Sometimes I wish it were so simple
That it were just a dream
Yet others I wish to remember
To fill my heart with the pain and watch it scream
But for now, you will stay in my mind
You will live in my dream
Unfortunately? it wasn't just a dream
