Darkened Fantasy

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 19, 2004

We're never half full,
Always half empty,
In a pessimist's eyes,
Nothingness is plenty,

Us shattered creations,
One after another,
Breathing intense,
Feeling so smothered,

Cold air in our lungs,
Darkness in our eyes,
Face kept forward,
Ignoring these lies,

Drowning silhouettes,
In shadows so deep,
Creatures of night,
Upon us, do creep,

Nothingness follows,
Falls in our tracks,
Sensing a danger,
As it nips on your back,

Stand in your place,
Don't falter retreat,
Live with your guilt,
Or die from defeat,

Wandering souls,
Smell blood in our veins,
They crave the taste,
So badly, it pains,

Mournful expressions,
Spoken in riddles,
In a world so big,
We all are belittled,

Chains on our feet,
Trudge on the ground,
We all can hear,
But, thus, makes no sound,

Owl-like creatures,
Hoot in the trees,
More evil than ones,
We regularly see,

Wolves, snakes, and rats,
Feed on our corpse,
Showing no compassion,
Let alone some remorse,

A forest so dark,
A deeper blue than the sea,
A world we all live in,
In this fantasy ...

^ I have really no idea what that was. It's so random.
