I love you I cant say goodbye
I need you I cant let you go
I cant stand to think of you not by my side
I cant bear to see you, your head hung low

I wish you could tell me all of your pain
Like the times when I sat for hours on end
With your velvety nose resting, quiet in my lap
And poured out my heart to my only friend

I don't know how I'm going to cope when you're gone
Your not just a horse your my life and soul
And to never sit up in the saddle again
Without your sweet nature I'll never be whole

You'll never deserve what awaits you my boy
And i don't know if you can see
How I'm gonna follow you into the light
So together will be you and me.

    god i totally agree... the horse im talking about is only 11. he had quite a bad accident a few wks bk n he's gotta be put down, its really hard coz as u say horses are the only ones that are there no matter what and that unconditional love can mean so much.

    I thought this was a pretty good poem... Horses are my favorite animals ... but I don't have any. :-/ I ride when I can though ... I just love their personalities, the way they conduct themselves, and how free I feel when I ride. Life is so much better with the view off the back of a horse ......

    Thankyou. i know this is a bit off da wall but its just purely how i feel coz 4 yrs of my life that horse was my only friend. dunno if that helps it 2 make sense, neway thanks for voting xx
