Eyes

by Precious Sison   Sep 23, 2004

Green eyes glow like Emerald gems,
While brown eyes coordinate with the solid earth.
Blue eyes reflect the ocean and the sky,
While my eyes are blind since birth.

My eyes never saw what has to be seen,
The wonders of life,
The beauty of love
Or the pleasure of being able to see.

But my eyes did witness the horror of living,
The filth of the world,
The cruelty of the people,
And the war on earth.

Green eyes are rich and pure,
While brown ones are strong and stern.
Blue eyes are peaceful and calm,
While my eyes are blind since birth.
