In Case of Revolution, Break Glass

by Amerimov   Sep 24, 2004

I can hear the thunder rolling
Gathering its strength
I can sense the tension in the air
About to break

I can taste the blood, like metal
About to be cast off
I can feel the knowledge spreading
Infecting people, one by one

And I see the children off at school
Wondering what'll happen next
I can see the hammer poised
Awaiting the proper time

Relationships are stretched taut
So rigid, so unforgiving
The barriers that we have created
Are about to be torn down

Our lives are held up
Suspended, never moving
By a surface of authority
Invisible, but ever present

And I see the young man standing
With the hammer in his hand
Prepared to free the tension
Thoughts rushing through his mind
He reads what's set before him and he acts
In case of revolution, break glass
