Letters from sarah

Sarah is a little girl
with a handicapped dad
her mom is busy
and Sarah is not bad

One day Sarah saw her mommy
writing stuff on a paper and nod
sarah asked "who are you writing to?"
mom sarcastically said "letter to god"

Sarah liked this idea
so she ran to her room with might
got a paper and pencil
and she began to write

Sarah found out
that her dad became so sick
he was gonna die
it's not something you can pick

the neighbors moved away
Sarah's garden grew flowers
it became warm
...there's nothing to say.

One cold day
Sarah didn't go to school
she didn't wake up
that was not cool

Her nanny was sad
her parents couldn't believe
Sarah is so little,
why did she have to leave...

Nanny opened Sarah's room
a while later on
she thought she saw Sarah!
but remembered she was gone.

Nanny found a drawer of notes
she read them all
it was amazing
she stood up tall

The first one read
"Dear god,
let the scary neighbors move away
and let my garden bloom if you may"

it was shocking
cuz all of Sarah's notes came true
but why nanny wasn't sure
not one note
asked for daddy's cure.

But there was one special note
hidden in a box behind nanny
it said "god take my life
instead of daddy"
