It all started just after the New Year
We had our first argument and shed our tears
From that moment we have continued to try
But our friendship has caused for us both to cry…

I don’t think that you should shed any tears
From a friendship that helped confront your fears
And I no longer think its fair on either of us
To continue fighting for that empty trust…

So this is my apology to you my best friend
That I couldn’t stand by your side till the end
And that I didn’t have the strength inside
To see the pain and hurt you attempted to hide…

This is my most sincere apology
I don’t know if you can accept that I am sorry
But I found it so difficult to try and read your mind
And discover the answers that you needed to find…

But all in my entire girl I promise I tried my best
To help our friendship overcome this final test
But to me a part of you didn’t want our friendship to succeed
So I guess letting go is what we both need…

And all those precious moments I will never forget
The times you held my hand and helped me through
I’m sorry I was unable to do the same for you…

I’m sorry my best friend if you think I am not right
But this is a pointless and endless fight
And time has turned our friendship to a crazy mess
Please don’t think it means I care any less…

Know my home always has a room for you
No matter where you have been or what you do
You have all my numbers and any need to call
I will come back to your side to support you through it all…

But the fact is that now our friendship cannot be
It’s something that we can both clearly see
So in continue to walk with your head held high
