Rose

by SCARECROW   Oct 6, 2004

I first called this Frost, but later changed the name to Rose, because I used quite a few comparisons to the delicateness of the life of the rose and the human. Also, I wrote this for some music I found on the net, if someone wants to hear it I can email it (it was not copyright).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What I show is not within
for I feel not, beloved sin.
I feel so much I now grow numb
libido sickness, I succumb.
Toward the darkness I am turning
tired and dreaming, for my yearning.
Untold was my safety’s cost
for I give life, and drown my trust.
Like
a rose
still untouched
by frost.
Like
a life
so unknown
but lost.
All
I
want
is to turn
tear to blood.
What
it was
is not what
it seems.
What
I say
is not what
I mean.
Softly drowning
in
this
lust
for all hope
is
lost.
Now,
call out
to the light
within.
Slow,
fall out
to the darkest
whim.
Like
a child
so naive
but so weak.
Like
a rose
dying for the morn
is bleak.
Dew of ice,
calling to the warmth
of defeat.
For death.
