Your Last Months

by Hannah   Oct 6, 2004

Life is great
Though your body aches
All the sudden you start losing Weight
You think you're fine
But little do you know
Your pain soon will show
A few months before you sweet Sixteen
On your next birthday you will be Queen
You were taken to the doctor
He said he thought you looked Good
He had to do some research
You thought you were ok
But the sickness in your body had Been misunderstood
He called you back for some tests
The results came back
As he started to tell you his voice Had a crack
He went on to say you had a Disease
He said it had gotten to one of the Highest degrees
You wouldn't live long
Not more than a year
But you said ok
Without any fear
You were full of joy
You were here to live and enjoy
You wrote some letters for those When you'd die
As you gave them out
Each person would cry
You touched each life
You came in contact with
This was no dream nor a myth
You started to fade but you still Had a smile
You took one last trip to the nile
On the day you died
Many people cried
But they will never forget you
When they heard the news
They wouldn't believe
Now all they can do is grieve
