Only in my dreams

by Johnny Mac   Oct 10, 2004

I lost you. I don't know how.
I'd do anything to turn time back now.
I wish I had just one more day. I'd make that day last always.
I'd pick you up and never let you down.
I'd fly away with you, we'd lay up in the clouds.
We could watch the sunset then rise on the edge of the earth.
Just you and me again baby, just like it was before.
When I first got to know you I knew you were special.
You were what I needed in life, you were my angel.
You and I we took our love to the extremes. But now our love is found, only in my dreams.
I won't forget you and all you've done.
Hell Colleen I thought you were the one.
I will get over you someday some how.
Until then I'll keep dreaming of you and our date in the clouds. I love you Colleen, I have since the start.
These tears I've shed are from a broken heart.
Don't let me get to you, don't let me lead you in the wrong direction I need to find the answer to my heart myself, but what is the question?
So this poem is for you, for just loving the way you do. It's about a lost love, an angel, my everything.
To the girl that when I close my eyes, she's all that I see. I hate to sit back and watch you fly away. But I gave you your wings, what more can I say..I love you
