A Girl In The Dark

by Ally   Oct 12, 2004

There sits a girl in the dark,
Waiting for her life to end,
Watching the clock,
Wanting to end this trend.
The pills are in her system,
Her blood is on the ground.
She thinks it isn't working,
And thinks about going to drown.

There sits a girl in the dark,
Picking up the knife.
She places it on her wrist,
About to end her life.
Blood runs off her arms,
And onto the carpeted floor.
A puddle forms around her,
Then runs under the door.

There sits a girl in the dark,
After ending the pain.
She finally let go of everything,
The proof is that stain.
Her spirit has left her,
She is now off in heaven.
It's sad how cruel the world is,
She was only eleven.
