The Angels Cry

by Nicole   Oct 12, 2004

A young feeble soul
stricken with disease
he hasn't long to stay alive
he falls again upon his knees
and threw his head up towards the sky
then his head falls down
and the angels cry

A single mother on her own
works all day, sleeps nights alone
She hardly has anything to give
but she tells her children "we shall live"
and to this day her worn soul still tries
she prays for strength
and the angels cry

A little girl not yet a teen
spends her nights working the streets
she is deprived of her childhood innocence
just to make twenty cents
she's alone and she's petrified
but she walks on
and the angels cry

A man holds his family in his arms
to try to keep them safe from harm
as they whimper the siren wails
and the bombs fall to no avail
The wife whispers "I don't want to die.."
They close their eyes
and the angels cry

So maybe one day
All shall be right
and no pain and suffering will be in sight
All we have left is faith
and all we can do is pray
Pray to God
for a better day
and when all hate is free from my eyes
maybe the angels
wont have to cry

Excelent poem. I thought it was more than awesome. It's a tear jerker.

    Hat's off!
