The D word

Deceptions of a good world
Lie beneath your feet
Your eyes are sealed to the truth
By the company that you meet

The tears you cry are silenced
By the jealous and the vain
For they have no emotion
Or heart to attain

Lying inside, you are dead
Before knowing
Judged instead

Your feelings need to be freed
Only corners will abide
The world is cold and harsh
For they have also died
