Sadness

Sadness all around me
my mind is all consumed
these feelings of great despair
can they ever be removed ?

my need, to get beyond this
but i never can escape
my mind is sinking lower
deep down into this abyss

i beg, i cry i crave for aid
to assist in my escape
from this desperate darkness
to a place where i can scrape

some sense from all this dread i feel
and to rise above my fears
that whirl around inside my head
and escape now through my tears.
