It's my fault we're not together
I'm to blame for our falling out
We thought it could last forever.
We carried on with out a doubt.
But I was the one who just left
Without a single goodbye.
Abandoned you on the steps.
While you cried out "But why!"
At first I tried to ignore the fact
That I'd actually walked out on you
But day after day my solo act
Proved what you said was true.
I am a coward, I've got no heart.
Like the lion from munchkin land
I don't deserve to play the part,
Let alone call myself a man.
So cast me away as I crawl up
Those steps stained with tears
Call me names like "Male trollop"
For discarding love all those years.
But take to heart my final words
As I hang my head in shame
I've have surely learned my lesson...
I am the one to blame.
