Visitations

You come to me in the early morning darkness,
A shadowed curve of movement, intent, sensation
To welcoming vision flesh yearning.
Though I question your existence, your proximity,
It is only with my social mind,
For what matters–heart and soul, and dreamtime skin–
Know you will lay beside me to the dawn.
