Rejection

by BlackRose   Oct 27, 2004

The glittering diamonds
that are your eyes
look upon me
with menace and scorn

i have showed you
nothing but kindness
and the passion
burning with the
intensity of
a thousand suns

alas your icy glare
freezes even
the depths
of hell

how then if
you so cold
and i so warm
can i love you so

opposites attract
i guess

it cannot be helped
or changed
feelings are there
never to be removed
for a reason

the reason behind mine
is nothing but
a crule joke

practicly gone
from my doting
from your loathing

there is such a fine line
between love
and hate

why can you not
cross such
a small barrier

to me that barrier
is a hefty wall
of pearl

glistening
in the
midday sun

the blinding pain
of sorrow

heartache and scorn
combine to form
the most sorrowing
emotion any man
can feel

rejection...

rejection equals
depression
but why

with a simple phrase
my hopes
my dreams
are broken

shattered
like a dropped
mirror

each shard
reflecting
an individual
part of me
never again to be whole

alas, alas
hope gone
dreams forgotten

the pain
comes in waves
i choke on the salt

alas, alas
im sinking deeper
ever deeper

into the depths
of my own mind
a prisioner of love
