She deserves better

by kel   Oct 30, 2004

She doesn’t deserve this pain
She deserves love not hate
It’s a wander she’s still sane
But she claims, it’s her fate

Her fate to be unloved
For people to look the other way
While she’s punished for someone else’s mistake
Never able to have a say

Her parents tell her, she’s unwanted,
She was a mistake
Making her a victim of abuse and raped
Always getting more than she can take

Her friends at school are fake
Pretending to be nice
Then a fool of her they make
As she curls up like fragile ice.

Yet she still lives on
Hoping one day someone will notice
That maybe someone will care, help her become strong
But to her that a dream, like a forbidden kiss.

Beautiful metaphors, beautiful sentances... great poem again! I loved the story-like way of it, though if it was my poem I'd lengthen it a bit more. Just my opinion.
    Still welll done!
