My Apocalypse

by Brittany   Oct 30, 2004

When the sun sets on this for good
The dark will paint a gentle portrait
Crimson stained and shimmering
And the music will burn
In the fires of your tongue.
Legacy will be forgotten.
Hopes of new days cease to come.

An ambience of emptiness
The only one you’ve ever known
Could swallow everything whole now.
The last flicker of light disappears
But it’s too far gone to care.
Why would they do this?
It’s only what they’re dying for.
