Worse off

My friend comes to me
With her little problems
Like the usually girl things
Claiming she’s depressed

But she can’t see that compared to her
There are those out there
Who would, in an instance
Swap with her, their lives.

I know a girl, who always has a smile on her face
Who cuts herself
For her parents are gone, and lives with an evil god-mum
Who treats her like a slave, and abuses her

I know a great guy
But the rest of the world just sees a loner
He wants to end his life; he claims no one would care
That no one would notice its like, I don’t matter.

I know a girl, who I never could stand, a popular prep
But then I saw it, her smile is just pretend
Everyone would say her life is prefect
But her family could never care less if she was alive or dead.

I know a girl, who feels like she’s going insane
She cuts herself, just to get rid of the emotional pain
Sometimes she knows her troubles, others she doesn’t understand
She tries to act normal, like nothings wrong, opps that girls me

So take a look around,
Most of the time, you can find
Someone worse off, losing control
But always know you are never alone
