Memory Lane

At night when I say goodbye
I lie in my bed and cry
I go down memory lane
And when I awake I get so angry
Thinking how
Things will never be the same
Day by day week by week
I long to hear you speak
My mind says your gone But my Heart won't let it be true
How could I lose such a great Friend like you?
You were here for me through Good and bad
You lifted my spirits when I was sad
There was nothing you did
No nothing wrong
I am trying, I am trying to be Strong
But this is more than I can take
I would've put my life at stake to Save a friend like you
Tell me now is it true?
Was there truly nothing I could do?
